A quick reminder about one of our important school rules for the coming term.
In Terms 1 and 4, it is compulsory for everyone at Westbrook School to wear a BUCKET HAT outside at morning tea and lunchtimes. Caps are not acceptable as they do not provide enough coverage. They can be any bucket hat, and there are lots around at reasonable prices. We encourage the students to keep them in their desks, so please make sure your child has one for home and one for school. We do sell them in the office - you can purchase via Kindo and we will deliver the hat to your child's classroom next week. Oh and 𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐌. 😊
Last year we added some more shade-sails around the school. Please help us keep your child sun-safe every day, and check/encourage/insist they wear their hats at school. With home and school working together, we can do it!

Orders for calendars, cards, mouse mats, diaries, and sketch pads are now open. All students received their individual codes before the end of term. Just to clarify the two dates given.

The first round of orders close on 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 - this is the main order. If you're wanting to make sure you have time to send any items to family, please order 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞.

The second round of orders is really just so that we ensure no one misses out. Final orders close on 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫, which means delivery will be towards the end of Term 4.

𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞! 😊

If your child will be attending Rotorua Intermediate School in 2027, please make sure you complete their online enrolment as soon as possible. Many of you have said your child will be going to Rotorua Intermediate, but they have not yet received an enrolment.
It is really important that enrolments are completed so Rotorua Intermediate can begin organising class placements and planning for next year.
If you haven’t enrolled your child yet, PLEASE jump online and get this done.
👇 Online enrolments can be done here:  https://ris.school.nz/enrolment-2/
Thank you for helping make the transition to Intermediate as smooth as possible for our Year 6 students.

At last, we have the app!

Only eight school days left in Term 3! Before we head into the holidays at the end of next week, our goal is to reunite lost clothes with their rightful owners—and get those wandering shoes back onto feet!  Here’s the plan:

𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲: We’ll put the lost property out for viewing, and encourage the kids to walk past and claim their items.

𝐊𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬: Any clothing left at Kelly Club will be added to the pile.

𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬: As always, if an item has a name on it, the owner is easily found and we hand it straight back to the child. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤: Please pop in and check the pile yourself—don't wait until the end of next week! Some of these items have been sitting here since Week 1, and we are now in Week 9. If the pile has been packed away for the day when you visit, just ask a staff member and we'll gladly show you where it's stored.

𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞: Next week on Thursday, any remaining unlabelled items will be bundled up and donated to a worthy local community cause. Help us clear the pile before then!
