On behalf of the Staff and Board of our wonderful school I would like to welcome you all to the 2012 school year. In particular I would like to welcome all of the new families to our Westbrook Whanau. We take very seriously our responsibilities related to the care, welfare and education of your children. Please take the opportunity to get to know your children’s teachers as early as possible. We will have a “Meet & Eat” evening and “Parent/Teacher Interviews” in Term 1, as well as a number of informal opportunities for you to get to know the staff. If your address has changed, or your circumstances have altered since the end of 2011 please either discuss this with your child’s teacher or contact our office. We have a number of exciting learning adventures planned for your children this year, as well as trialling some new management and organizational changes. We hope you and your children have a great 2012! |

New Daily Timetable Please note the changes to our school days, in particular our morning tea and lunch times. As a consequence of these changes you may need to remind your children about which foods to eat at morning tea and which to eat at lunchtime. School Stationery 2012 The school stationery shop will be open each school day in Room 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (closed at lunchtime 1 — 1.45 p.m.). If you are paying by EFTPOS please pay at the office before collecting stationery from Room 25. |

GALA Our 2012 Gala is scheduled for Thursday 22 March. If you can help out in any way please either contact myself, Colin Watkins, or Rachel Weinberg, or leave your details at our school office. |

Before and After School Care We have both Before and After school programmes based at Westbrook School. Please see the office for information. As we do not have teachers on duty before and after school we encourage you to use the service if your child is at school prior to 8.15 a.m. or after 3.15 p.m. |

Breakfast Programme At Westbrook School we operate a free breakfast programme. Weetbix and milk are available in the school hall between 8.15 and 8.45a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. This will be up and running again as from Wednesday 8 February. |
